In 2010, Alex Chacon, a recent graduate of Texas University, embarked on a 75,000-mile, 500-day motorcycle journey from Texas to the Southern tip of South America to Alaska. Chacon promoted the trip through a series of photos and viral videos, which he used to raise money for the charity Children of Uganda and an orphanage in Mexico.
